Job Responsibilities

Your role as an AngelCare contractor includes providing support that helps our clients remain independent and happy in their own homes. Here are some of the tasks you may perform:

- Personal Care: Assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Household Tasks: Light tidying, cleaning, laundry, and other household chores.
- Meal Preparation: Preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition.
- Shopping and Errands: Doing groceries, picking up prescriptions, and running other errands.
- Outings and Appointments: Taking clients on outings, accompanying them to doctors’ appointments, and engaging in social activities.
- Companionship: Sharing a cup of tea, engaging in conversation, and enjoying each other’s company.

- Administration: If you’re not familiar with managing taxes or find it a hassle, many contractors in New Zealand use a service called HNRY. For only a 1% charge, HNRY acts as your accountant, paying all your taxes, ACC levies, and even contributing to KiwiSaver if you desire. They then pay you the rest.
