We are an independently owned craft beer shop located in the New Lynn-Avondale area, we pride ourselves on brewing and selling excellent beer, available on tap for the take-home customer and catering to craft beer enthusiasts who appreciate quality and variety.

The Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic casual part-time Retail Duty Manager to join our team. This role offers guaranteed 8 hours per week over Friday to Sunday, with the potential for additional hours.

Responsibilities
• Opening and closing the shop, ensuring smooth daily operations.
• Providing exceptional customer service, ensuring a memorable experience for our customers.
• Managing stock, including changing kegs and stocking fridges.
• Overseeing cash handling and ensuring accurate financial transactions.
• Tracking inventory and maintaining optimal stock levels.
• Ensuring compliance with the Sales of Alcohol legislation.
• Running the shop independently and making informed decisions.

What We’re Looking For
• Current General Manager’s Certificate is essential. We are open to applicants in the process of receiving the qualification.
• Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in the beverage industry.
• A genuine interest in craft beer or wine is advantageous.
• Strong communication skills and a passion for delivering world-class customer service.
• Ability to work independently without supervision and handle challenging situations with maturity and responsibility.
• Flexibility to adapt to varying hours and additional shifts as required.
