Over the years, our business has expanded to include diagnostic tuning, Warrant of Fitness (WOF) inspections, general repairs, repair certifications, and vehicle compliance. In 2017, we moved to a larger facility at 22 Huia Road, Otahuhu, to accommodate our growing services, including a compliance center and service station.

Job Description

Job Duties – Automobile Mechanic
Vehicle Inspection & Diagnosis:

Inspect vehicles to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues.
Use diagnostic tools and test-driving methods to identify problems.
Provide detailed reports on vehicle conditions and necessary repairs.
Maintenance & Repairs:

Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and tyre rotations.
Repair or replace defective vehicle parts such as brakes, engine components, transmissions, and suspensions.
Align wheels, adjust steering systems, and replace worn-out parts.
Electrical & Electronic System Repairs:

Diagnose and fix electrical issues, including battery, alternator, and wiring problems.
Repair or replace lighting systems, sensors, and other electronic components.
Engine & Transmission Work:

Disassemble, repair, and reassemble engines and transmissions.
Conduct performance tuning and troubleshooting for optimal vehicle operation.
Brake & Suspension System Maintenance:

Inspect, repair, and replace brake pads, discs, and hydraulic systems.
Maintain and repair shock absorbers, struts, and other suspension components.
Air Conditioning & Cooling Systems:

Diagnose and repair vehicle air conditioning systems.
Service radiators, coolant systems, and temperature controls.
Safety & Compliance:

Ensure all repairs and maintenance meet safety and industry standards.
Follow workplace health and safety regulations.
Customer Service & Documentation:

Communicate repair findings and cost estimates to customers.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and services provided.
Offer recommendations for preventive maintenance and future repairs.
Tools & Equipment Management:

Use and maintain hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Ensure proper storage and handling of mechanical components and lubricants.
Continuous Learning & Training:

Stay updated on advancements in automotive technology.
Attend workshops and training programs to improve skills.
Pay rate - $28 to $35 per hour
Weekly Hours 32-40
Work experience of 2 years or level 4 or higher qualification
Salary:
$28.00 Hourly
