About the role:
The Deputy IT Lead – Administration is a critical support role designed to assist the IT Admin Lead in managing the organization’s IT infrastructure, focusing on maintaining stability, scalability, and security. This role will also serve as the primary point of contact in the IT Admin Lead’s absence, ensuring continuity in team operations. A strong background in Linux administration, automation, and Large Language Model (LLM) management is essential for success in this role.

As Deputy IT Lead for Administration, you will cover the following:

1. Team Leadership & Infrastructure Excellence

Co-create and manage IT infrastructure, optimizing performance, security, and reliability across on-premises and cloud-hosted systems.
Champion security best practices, conducting routine updates and prompt issue resolution.
Shape our technical roadmap, focusing on scalable IT infrastructure that propels organizational success.

2. Team & Workflow Harmony

Orchestrate daily IT operations, prioritizing tasks and reporting progress to the IT Admin Lead.
Lead with confidence as the primary point of contact and decision-maker in the IT Admin Lead's absence.
Inspire growth through technical and soft-skills training, mentoring, and knowledge sharing.

3. Automation & Efficiency Pioneering

Innovate with automation, developing scripts to streamline routine tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
Provide expert hands-on support during peak periods, especially in LLM-related processes.

4. Cross-Department Synergy

Foster collaborative relationships with departments, identifying opportunities for workflow optimization and operational excellence.
Unlock scalable LLM deployments, leveraging containerization tools and cloud resources.

Experience Required:

1. Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Administration or related field
2. Minimum 5 years of experience as Linux Administrator
3. At least 1 year Leadership / People Management experience
4. Must be open to overlapping with CET

Skills Required:

1. Proficiency in managing Linux-based systems
2. Advanced scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python or similar languages for automation and process optimization)
3. Significant experience in Large Language Models (LLMs) hosting, systems administration, and troubleshooting
4. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction
5. Strong communication skills
6. Experience in remote work environment
